Slide leak Outback

I would like to know if anyone has had the slides leak at the point where the cable enters the trailer. We had an unknown leak that has degraded and disintegrated the floor of our 2 1/2 year old new trailer. There has been no visible water on the linolium but floor began to sag in bedroom and in living area.

It got so bad we cut the linolium to see what was going on and discovered that it was wet on top and bottom and the floor disintegrating. We discussed issues and we had several lengthy times if rain over the last year and it seemed that it would get worse at those times.

DH has checked roof as per msint. schedule and caulked as should. No holes. We checked the slides and saw large holes where the slide cables entered trailer. There was a rubber piece that was on one cable in that place but not on the others. This seems to be where the water is entering and where they must have failed and fallen off. This was never mentioned as a maint check.

We never had this issue in our previous TT.

Our floor is trash. We will now have to remove it and replace with much h difficulty. DH is a carpenter. So sick about this.
