Most radio installations are different from brand to brand. The radio is held in place by 4 screws. The radio bezel should come off with your fingers and some light pulling. Once it's off, you can remove those 4 screws and slip the radio out of the mounting hole and then you'll be able to easily measure for clearance.
Most of the "premium" line (can you say "expensive") have a security box or small safe installed at the factory. Usually they are in a corner of the under-bed storage area. There, they can be mounted to the metal frame of the RV which makes them much harder to "rip out". There's not a lot of strength in the luan paneling, MDF trim and the 1x2/2x2 "whitewood" framework used in the cabinetry in most RV's.
