JRTJH - on page 44 of my manual they talk about thermostats, stoves and range hoods, etc. The beds are on page 49. The key word for me in the caution is 'stowed'. I generally don't consider a bed leaning against the wall as 'stowed'. As others have pointed out they have locks to keep it up - we don't have locks. So, does a pneumatic strut, used to make lifting the bed easier make it 'stowed'? Or, am I supposed to add a lock? I am thinking of adding a handle to make it easier to pull down when I want to use it.
