If you've lost your sewer cap, you can "just replace it" or you can "upgrade to a manageable one" for no extra cost. Consider buying one with a 3/4" garden hose fitting on the cap. Once you've "unleashed the black torrent" one time (from a leaking valve) you'll appreciate having a 3/4" opening to drain the pipes over a 3" opening that showers you with smelly stuff..... You can use a gloved thumb to control the shower instead of trying to place your hand (glove or not) over that 3" gusher of stink......

Look for a replacement like this one and hope you never need to unscrew that little cap with "full pipes" behind it... You'll be grateful for having that little cap, if you ever need it......
