You should check your battery to make sure it is fully charged and in good condition. A low or weak battery will result in poor or no slide operation.
There is also a 30A fuse or perhaps a reset breaker in the circuit which may need to be replaced or reset.
Have you checked for any loose connections on your slide motor or at the switch itself?
