Help came and we determined that the motor in the awning has failed. Unfortunately, it is $260 plus freight, plus a $25. handling fee for the little, tiny motor! I have a hunch that before I spend that on a motor, I'd be likely to replace the entire awning with a manual system, at least that I know will work as long as I'm able!
