That would work. In the past, we have cut pieces of that material for winter travel and it works for both the cold and light. You can purchase rolls of the silver insulation material at Camping World. The other thing the wife has done, because of light from our bedroom door, is to put a piece of heavy black fabric over the window. She was able to hang it over the trim piece over the door. Sleep in!!
