I had seen this photo on another forum(I know ... shame on me) and it seems the story is: There is a camping area that is only accessible at low tide and this poor fellow got stuck and the tide did not wait for him to get out. I hope one of his toys was a jet-ski.

Ken /Claudia, I would agree with your profile if the rig was facing the other way.
