As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I had ordered a 2022 GMC 3500 SRW SLT on 11/17/21. This GMC was built the last week of 01/22 and scheduled for delivery to my dealer mid March 2022. This truck also has a $5k dealer mark up. The end of March I got a notification from the dealer that my truck was one of about 4000 units that had a hydrolock / no start issue.

Initially GMC intended to swap out the Duramax engine and ship it to the dealer with the new engine. Then mid April 2022 GMC decided not to swap engine and my dealer could reorder the same truck with a rush build priority. This order was submitted 4/23/22. The end of May 2022 the "priority" order had not been accepted by GM.

At this point I told the dealer to refund my deposit, which they did and I decided to keep my paid for Ram 2500. And get this, GM still lists the order number for the "priority" order as received from the dealer but not yet accepted. So with the price of everything from diesel fuel to loan rates going up, I am keeping my Ram.
