Well if you are looking to future proof yourself, time to start looking at a DRW. We got one, we tow about 13,000# with 2,700# pin and about 500# of stuff in the in bed tool box. That said I am looking at used DVR's shorter units about 38' or less, still carry up to a 20,000 GVWR! I have a 5,411# payload, and a 25,000# tow rating.
