The tree huggers don't like the unsightly windmills or the solar farms cluttering their pristine views, nuclear is dangerous & no one wants it in their neighborhood, so I guess we'll still need that nasty fossil fuel to power all the electric plants to charge their electric cars/trucks.
Most states are closing their rest areas due to lack funds or manpower to keep them up, but if everyone is driving evs they'll need to reopen them with power ports to charge all those vehicles.
If I run out of gas or diesel I can call for someone to bring 5 gallons to get me going, how long extension cords will we need to carry when the batteries die in the middle of nowhere. Or how many hours will be sitting along side the highway plugged into the generator on the AAA rescue truck before we can take off again.
