If you leave it plugged in all winter, I'd suggest a monthly (or more frequent) battery check. Even a trickle charger can cause a battery to "consume electrolyte"....

Alternatively, disconnect your battery, leave it on the trailer tongue and reconnect it, plug in the trailer and let it charge for a day or two on a monthly basis. If you do that, don't forget that the battery cutoff switch must be on for the battery to charge.
