For the 1st time use having 1 bottle turned off will help you determine how much propane you might use while really out camping. Likely 3 to 5 days. But, while really camping do as the manual says turn both on so you do not run out when the bottle gets empty. It will happen at 2am on a cold night. Takes awhile to get propane charged thru the lines again. Just plan on 1 bottle being empty in several days and plan on getting it refilled or have another to add if your out more than a week. Just like water, dump tanks and electricity used and have left you should be checking them out daily or every few days so as not to run out.
That is very good advice, and is exactly what I have been trying to do,. I did turn the tank on that did not have the indicator pointing towards it…so I guess my regulator works??

Thanks for the tips and Have a Great Day!
