The dinette in our slide out goes up to within 4 inches of the bathroom door. When traveling, we leave it open before retracting and place one of the dinette cushions against it. When the slide out is fully retracted, the dinette holds the cushion snug against the door. Problem solved. DW uses the bathroom while I'm pumping gas. And then we're off.
