Hi, and welcome to the forum. You must be looking on dealer lots, yes they ramp the price up a bit, offer them book and ask what kind of a warranty will they be giving for their over inflated price on a used trailer, the worst that can happen is for them to say NO. Most dealers will have a $6000 pad on used trailers so the line "I can't sell it for that" is meant to embarrass you, just make an offer and walk away after leaving your name and Phone number. If you do strike up a deal, make sure that you inspect the trailer good and have the dealer fix whatever is broke before you pay for it, if the trailer is being sold "as is", then anything that you find that doesn't work or is in poor condition would be reason enough to lower your offered price.
