If you lived where salt and corrosive snow melting chemicals were used from September through May every year, you'd have a different view. While wheelwell liners don't keep salt off the paint, they do protect the paint from chipping which does help slow rust and even "aluminum corrosion" from destroying a vehicle in the 6th year of ownership, especially when the "manufacturer's warranty only covers 5 years of "rust protection" and the payments end the month before you see something like this on your truck.....
