I have a question about a few things:

4.1 or 3.55??? Which is recommended and what exactly does this decision effect?

Alternator choices: any reason to order higher/heavier duty alternator?

I looked at the payload on a 2021 F350 Laramie DRW on the lot and it was about 5600lbs.
I would get the 4:10 gears ..your fiver is pretty heavy.
You would get a little better fuel mileage with the 3:55 but overall towing with a heavy fifth wheel may suffer.
The 4:10 will be easier to tow from a dead stop and towing up hills .
Your rpms will be a little higher and that will slightly effect fuel mileage but not much.
Your overall towing capacity will increase with 4:10 gears as well.
If your ever going to be towing in the mountains you will benefit from the 4:10 gears.
Most people choose between 3:73 and 4:10.
And lastly I know some of the truck manufacturers are switching to 8 and 10 speed transmissions, that is supposed to help with towing and fuel mileage but I prefer the stoutness of 4:10
Heavier duty alternator couldn’t hurt if it’s just a little extra
