Should I be looking for a DRW build with more payload than that?

My guess based on limited information is that your SRW is an XL and maybe 4X2, the F350 that you are looking at is likely a King Ranch.
Our 2016 Ram Laramie 3500 DRW has a sticker payload of 5,411#, the fancier the truck the less payload.
