I carry 2 types in the truck a Werner 2 step and folding plastic 1 step. 2 step ladder used when hooking up 5th wheel and folding step when fueling. With a 35 gallon main tank and up to 46 in the RDS tank that gives me a lot of range. I can bypass high tax states completely. I typically will be unhooked with the toy hauler anyway so going to town to eat if the weather's too crappy for the bike.
