rhagfo, if someone is looking for a diesel engine, I absolutely agree that you should skip the 3/4 ton and go straight to a 1 ton. However, if a person is towing well under 12,000# and not towing in the mountains, then a 3/4 ton gasser is a viable option. It does have a limited range of applicability though.
