Not even a Montana High Country has a PUBLISHED payload that low.
When my CW sales manager at CW told a customer his Chevy 2500 diesel was not up to the task of safely towing a Landmark as the payload would be nearly twice the trucks payload the buyer called him a liar, said some nasty words and left.
As stated above- truck salesmen are in the dark too. When buying an F350 the sales manager had me talk to the sales staff about the 'yellow sticker ' . An F250/2500 diesel will pull about anything but that doesn't mean they should.
