I wouldn't recommend a 12v compressor for anything other than blowing up balloons, air mattresses and other small inflatables. Most don't have enough "umph" to inflate or top up RV or truck tires. There are a just a few 12v compressors that are quite good for bigger jobs but they are very pricey and still aren't that effective. If you are considering getting one, buy a 120v.
