Well, they traveled 3000 miles and I didn't notice a single bug! But they did get wet from rain. I think the truck must buffet the wind enough that they don't just splat on the bikes. As a matter of fact, I can't recall finding splatted bugs on the front of my TT either? Hmmm.
Piece of advice though. Make sure the bikes clear the tailgate in sharp turns. I had to raise mine up a bit to clear my tailgate.
