We've made two trips to Albuquerque - same route from here: Up to Clovis, over to Ft Sumner, north to Santa Rosa then west to Alb. Return same route. I-40 is under construction in places, sometimes there is a huge - like 10~15 mile - backup. Most of the road is OK, was able to run 70 with our big 34' race trailer. But lots of places, it sucks bad - rough, pot holes/missing surface, etc. I-20 down here in places is as bad or worse. Muleshoe to Santa Rosa is off and on crap. The interstate highway system IMHO is suffering. Last trip we were running 17,000 with an empty trailer and hit places on both I-40 and I-20 that literally bounced the rig into the other lane.
