New Mexico I - 4 - 0....

thast stretch was always one of my favs, gear jammin or a tourist.

From ABQ you got a heck of a pull going east....then its up and down to tucumcari on a slow bleed downhill, then down to amarillo.

from either side, but mostly from the east going west, approaching amarillo was always my fav...back in the day when it was not so built up and you see it for 30-45 mins before you get there

I 4th the big texan

since that road caters to the big rigs, all the pilots/fly js and TAs are your friend to get into and out of. from east of amarillo to OKC, its kinda boring. I prefer it in the dark...

btw, after the heat of summer, the asphalt NM roads tend to wagon wheel rut from the gooeyness they get and the truck traffic. This time of year they tend to reflatten them out. the trailer WILL feel weird if you drive thru the 'ruts'
