It doesn't have any glare from the running lights at night that I can see. I experimented with double-stick tape before deciding on location and I ended up mounting it so the antenna is above the roof-line. When the antenna was below the roof-line the video suffered delays. I placed it there 5 months ago and it is working great. I've been about 6,000 miles and no issues. Edit: And it has a 4" Ram Mount arm and each end has a 1" Ram Mount ball so it's about 6" to 7" off the rear wall.
