I had a gas 96 F250 with a 460 CID gas guzzler; it had two 18 gallon tanks as I recall and watching the gas gauge drop was entertaining. Planning fuel stops when camping was a must. The engine was very reliable but wasn't particularly powerful for a big block and the brakes were drums all the way around and those guys got HOT when pulling a camper in the canyons of the Hill Country.
