Go to Harbor Freight and buy a non-contact infrared thermometer; about $20. It sort of looks like a gun. Open the door and let the bottle get warm. Run the gun down the tank until you see the temperature drop. That's the level. It works best if the tank is hit by the sun, but not necessary.
