I have used the "Geo Method" since my trailer was new. I have had no problems, tank sensors work, (probably just jinxed myself) and smell is only when I leave the exhaust fan on when flushing. The key to all of this is plenty of water and no wipes ever in the black tank. Geo method - cup of bleach, half of cup of liquid calgon, small bottle of dawn dishwashing soap. 3 to 4 gallons of water to start.
