I can kind of see the point if the supply line needs to be 18 inches long. They should be able to plan better than that and get the supply line a little closer to the toilet input.
However, on the flip side, in the bathroom of our old Mobile Traveler Class C, the supply line is totally hidden behind the toilet. When I needed to rebuild the toilet valve on the old Thetford, it required pulling the toilet completely off the floor. At that point, I'd wished the supply line was a bit more accessible.
