Welcome from another N Texan! Spent lots of time in & around Aledo before retiring.
As to the cover, NO, I now you occasionally get some gusty winds in your area & that just beats the rv & tears up the cover. Not to mention touting it up & wrestling it to get it on, accident waiting to happen.
Spend the money on a good wax job annually before storing.
