I've had a wireless system for over three years. I kept on experiencing signal drop, so I moved transmitter in rig closer to the front. Finally, transmitter ended up in the nose of the rig. Less than 10 feet from the receiver.

Worked great in rural areas, but I still experienced signal drop in congested areas. Finally figured out why, it had nothing to do with my setup. Every time that I got close to another vehicle with camera system (or TPMS which uses the same frequency), my signal would drop. Figured that their signal overpowered mine. Likely to get worse as more and more vehicles have wireless camera systems installed.

I finally hard wired the video feed (one extra connection when hitching). Haven't lost picture since.
