Met a couple a year or two ago that had parked in a truck stop parking area with their 5er, went in to eat in the restaurant, and when they came back to their rig, discovered the rear cap had been trashed by what appeared to be a flatbed trailer that probably made a turn a bit too close and caught the cap with the swinging end of the flatbed. The truck driver probably never had a clue that he'd hit the 5er, and that couple had to use a lot of duct tape to hold things together until they could file a claim with their insurance. If you dare to park where the big rigs park, be very careful to park in a way to prevent damage from the big rigs.
