More than likely you will need a #2 square drive screwdriver, as almost all screws in RV’s use that type of screw. There are some Phillips screws but not many. You will just have to hunt for the screws as they can be anywhere on the valance Most RV stores and also on line carry the string to repair the shades. Good luck.
