If the trailer is built with filon exterior, then the sidewalls are vacuum bonded, meaning the exterior and interior walls are bonded to the aluminum framework as one piece. The rear wall is "floating", and as such will sound hollow.

Some trailers are still built with aluminum panels that are stapled onto a wooden frame, and those will sound the same on any wall you tap.

Re sealing the roof seams is straight forward, but I would look real close at the front and rear roof seams for any signs of voids that would have let water penetrate the roof. If you go to the Dicor website there will be videos describing how to determine the material your roof is made of and the proper sealant to use.
