Hey neighbor! I have a similar lamp on my 5ver and it has a slide switch on the fixture. It is used for illuminating the front if you dig things out of the forward storage compartment. Since you don't have a front compartment, have you looked inside the pass through to see if you can see where the wires are going? Could there be a switch in the pass through? Generally the switches inside the door will turn on a "porch light" and on many campers there with be a fore and aft set of outside white lights.
