Not to start the weight police comments, but just FYI, the max tow weight for your truck means NOTHING! ANY dry weight numbers, including pin/tongue, for your rv also mean absolutely NOTHING. The trucks payloads are the number your needing & once you've parked your cheeks in it that number has been reduced. The rv will NEVER EVER weigh that again once the dealer adds battery/batteries, propane & fill the water heater.
Also with the new 5th wheels with notched front corners on short bed trucks most can tow without the slider hitches unless you have to get into a severe angle backing into your driveway or storage.
