Until eight weeks ago, I had an F-150. With passengers, retriever dogs, and a ProPride hitch on the trailer, which really piles on extra tongue weight, we were over payload. The trailer is 6980 dry and 8800 max. I'd like to tell you that the F-250 tows it with ease, but as
we haven't yet gotten the truck to actuate the trailer brakes due to what looks like a fleet-wide design issue with the truck's brake controller, we've only towed it as of yet to repair shops in short hops at slow speeds.
