It’s been a while and the regulations may have changed but back when I was racing I could carry 2 55gallon drums of methanol or racing fuel with me as long as they had a sticker on them that stated the contents in them and the drums are considered a DOT approved shipping container, Also the service truck that we had at our business used to have at least two drums of diesel fuel on it with a label on it, two drums of hydraulic oil with a label on it, along with drums of oil, basically what I’m saying is a 55 gallon drum is a DOT approved shipping container for just about any kind of liquid as long as the contents are labeled come to think of it so were the 35 gallon drums of Grease, what’s the difference between 110 gallons of diesel in 55 gallon drums strap down in the bed of a pick up and 110 gallon side tank on a semi either way there’s 110 gallons of fuel there if there’s an accident
