Our 2015 298RE has a single Group 24 battery as provided by the dealer. I have a question about the rack the battery sits in.

I measured the rack (for lack of a better term) to see how much space I have to work with as I decide what I want to do for batteries. I was surprised to find the area is only 12"x17". That doesn't allow for very large 12v batteries. If I wanted two batteries I couldn't go any larger than Group 24.

Question is: How do others accommodate larger batteries when using more than one? Am I going to be limited to 2 6V batteries for maximum capacity?
