Our pup is 53lbs and rides tethered to the back seat. She rides laying on a support/bed that spans from the back seat onto the console between the seats. She lays with her face always facing forward to watch the road and let the AC blow in her face. I personally could not make/let her ride in the trailer. As one poster noted, it gets very hot in the trailer when traveling down the road. Our pup is a house dog and is used to temps in the mid 70s or less. Trying to stay in 90+ temps is not acceptable to us or her (as another poster mentioned she IS like our child to us). Also, I would be concerned about the layout of the trailer when closed up. Being a 5th wheel they could stay in the bedroom (forward portion) but just don't know about that....good luck with whatever you choose.
