Slides are sticking, it's just that simple. Wash, wax the sides of your slides. Clean the rubber seals, and lube any tracks you have access to. Mine are more prone to be "jerkey" when the weather is cold and work very smooth when weather is warm. If the camper has been sitting unused, with either the slides open or closed, when the slides move again, the rubber is stiff and need to soften up (Just like a car tire that's been sitting and has a flat spot).

A low battery may cause jerkiness, but I've found (in the past), when I had a low battery, mine simply do not work. They either move or they don't.
