Linux, I suppose I should PM you rather than put this here, but if you ever have time, visit the C and O Canal Visitor's Center and Museum downtown Cumberland. And a short walk away is the ever infamous "Curtis Coney Island Famous Wieners," same place since 1918.
The old towpath alongside the former canal is still very active for cyclists, being an integral part of the Great Allegheny Passage Trail, I believe about 330 miles from Pittsburgh to Washington DC.
