We have not owned a vehicle in 30 years that didn't have an ignition key hidden somewhere on the outside. Same for the RV's. Ours is in a black magnetic box high up in the propane tank cabinet. Hard to see, and relatively easy to get to. Generally a burglar won't look for a hidden key, they will use the infamous crowbar instead.
