Removing the furnace

I had do remove my furnace a couple of years ago, not because it wasn't working but because a little furry rodent decided to use the fan as an exercise wheel. I can't imagine how long he kept up but ended up creating a huge imbalance with plenty of noise, vibration and aroma. Like everyone has said, it requires cutting the wires. Removing the fan from the unit wasn't easy either. I ended up putting automotive weatherpack connectors on the wires when I extended them (with heat shrink sealed crimps) so that removing it would be much easier if Mickey's friends ever decided to visit. So far it hasn't been necessary.
