If it's like mine..... unscrew it from the wall (2 screws) and gently pull it out. The wires from the Detector will go to "wire-nuts" that connect to wires that go inside the wall. They might have black electrical tape over them. Should be 2 (maybe 3) of them. With power disconnected, remove the black electrical tape and then unscrew the wire-nuts to separate the wires. Keep track of the colors of the wires and which wire-nuts they go to as the replacement detector should be the same and will need to be wired the same.
