I have a long bed and seldom use the bed for hauling "stuff" and mainly use the truck for dragging my little 5ver around the state. There are plenty of places around Texas where fuel stops are far and few between and only place worse I have been is New Mexico. Riding a bike in NM requires at least a 6 gallon tank or be prepared to stop in some out of the way place till Monday when the filling station opens.
