If your stud finder is finding a stud then go for it. I had the same thing. no sticker stating to drill here vs there.. went over the wall to find the studs and used some heavy duty lag bolts and went for it. drilled in a few hook holders to use with bungee cords to hold the tv against the wall during travel and have not had any issues yet. Make sure to get short 1" to 1-1/2" lag bolts so they will not go through the outer layer construction.. happy drilling.
