We have a troy built tractor that i use for cutting a rougher section of the property and the valves do need adjustment every year or so…they get to a point where the engine wont turn over easily…makes you think it’s a dead battery.
I believe there is a compression release at one point of the valve train operation to make it easier to start…if you don’t get the valves just right it will not release in synch and turn over Slowly…get it right and it spins freely and fires right up.
i always forget and have to watch a video myself …yeah i have been known to watch a youtube video or two
