Just posting to say that I finally got my Directv set up. The hookup I hand wrote WORKS for Directv HD with two receivers. The bedroom has the dish power and HD receiver. The living area has the HD-DVR receiver. I plug the dish into the outside port by the water hookup and in the bedroom area disconnect the short jumper and plug in the dish power to that port. Both receivers can then watch different stations(for those days you just have to watch the game and DW wants to watch her soaps
. So as far as I can see there is no reason to mount a separate connector for the Satellite dish. If I need cable hookup it uses the same outside port or turn on the amplifier for the antenna. Works great.
